ROXBORO, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Person County Sheriff's Office is mourning the death of a beloved K-9 officer.
Cyrus, a hound dog, died on June 13 after serving for more than two years with his handler, Deputy Oakley.
The sheriff's office is remembering Cyrus for his loyalty and bravery in the line of duty.
A memorial service for Cyrus will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Person County Sheriff's Office building in Roxboro.
The public is invited to attend the memorial.
